Day 1 of the 10 Days CAMBODIA Big Bike Tour kicks off in the bustling city of Phnom Penh, where riders gear up for an epic adventure. If you're visiting Cambodia for the first time, we suggest a trip to the Killing Fields and S21 Genocide Museum. There, you may discover everything there is to know about the horrific rule of Pol Pot in the late 1970s, during which an estimated 3 million Cambodians perished. Though it's not a particularly pleasant day out, we heartily suggest it because it will be an immensely enlightening experience that you will carry with you for the remainder of your travels around this stunning nation.

Your vehicle sounds incredible! The combination of asphalt highways, pine forests, and jungle paths must provide an amazing journey. Furthermore, seeing those enormous hornbills soar above the jungle seems like a fantastic experience. The diversity of the terrain, which includes creek crossings, rocky areas, and single-track trails, would keep things interesting and keep you on your toes. It seems like the ideal way to wind down after a thrilling day of riding to spend the evening glamping by the river, replete with cozy tents and a kayak paddle after dusk. Savor each and every second of it!

What a journey! Having breakfast beside the river in the morning seems peaceful, and cruising down red gravel roads gradually establishes a pleasant tempo. A taste of the real appeal of Cambodia must be had by riding beside the river and hiking the paths to the charming village of Kamlot. A day of exploring should include sandy walks, small settlements, woodland paths, creek crossings, and rugged areas. And what better way to cap off another exciting day of exploration than with a BBQ in a little, dusty town surrounded by the unpretentious charm of the countryside? Have fun on the journey!

Today's experience begins with us leaving our guesthouse and traveling on gravel roads to a distinctive Buddhist temple nestled into a rocky hill. We meet a monk who speaks fluent English at this location. We quickly come across broad sandy roads with breathtaking views of the Cardamom and Aoral Mountains after passing through plantations and rugged, rocky tracks. Our route winds through a level valley that frequently floods, forming meandering paths that residents use to ride their scooters during the rainy season. Along the journey, we negotiate numerous river crossings, bridges, and quaint Cambodian villages with rice fields, buffalo, stilted wooden houses, and boisterous kids. We'll go through charming villages in the golden hour as the sun sets.

Starting with unpaved, rocky paths winding through the forest, then becoming slowly more sandy and less rocky. These ancient paths, which bridge the Tonle Sap River, have been utilized by the nearby villages for the previous 100 years. This river flows between the massive Tonle Sap lake, the biggest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, and the Mekong twice a year.As the afternoon draws to a close, we cruise past small towns and villages while dodging herds of cows on simple dirt and asphalt roads.

Spend some time in the morning lounging by the pool. You can choose to ride in a minivan to the Beng Mealea temple site in the afternoon and spend some time touring these magnificent old temples. Naturally, we may pack a cooler box full of refreshing beverages to take with us, allowing us to relax among the temples and sip on a few cold ones while the sun sets over the surrounding forest. Perfect.

We'll begin our adventure on the motorcycles after a good night's sleep, taking our time as we ride down gravel roads next to rice fields and rivers to slowly welcome the day.We're going to the village of Ta Seng tonight. After checking into our lodging, we'll take a quick shower before heading to a neighboring temple. We'll pass several smaller temples en route to Preah Khan, a magnificent 1,000-year-old shrine tucked away in a dense jungle. It will be a wonderfully magical experience to watch the sun set behind the temple arch, with the sounds of the jungle isolating us.

Today marks the last day of this incredible journey across Cambodia on bike! We immediately enter the paths and pass by an old temple that is situated directly beside one.We will arrive in the stunning town of Siem Reap, feeling incredibly brave after such a daring voyage.
