We can take a mountain bike ride to see the Preah Vihear temple in the morning. Even though it's just tarmac, the climb up is enjoyable. Our route today will primarily take us on red dirt roads as we go eastward into Stung Treng Province and then up to the border with Laos, where we will spend the night.

We will begin riding roughly 100 km of graded dirt roads following a 30-minute boat voyage across the Mekong River. From there, it will be about 70 km of single track through the jungle. There will be a little more red mud into Ban Long so that it will be another long day of riding. Yeak Loum Volcanic Crater Lake, a stunning location with pristine waters, is not far from us.

Today will be more relaxed as we follow the Mekong back into Phnom Penh, the tour's last destination. If there's time, we could visit the range, where you can try your hand at shooting an RPG or an AK-47 (at an additional expense, of course). A sunset boat excursion on the Mekong River in Phnom Penh is a lovely way to cap off the vacation.
