Since we have to ride the graded dirt road the Chinese constructed to connect the new hydropower dams, the riding isn't as technical now. That old road was a mess. The ride is still exciting, with some breathtaking views, but if you look away for a moment, you could end up down a gully! There are a few spots with good climbs and descents that are more chopped up. Then, there are two choices: more technical riding or more graded roads.

If you're looking for something severe, we have several challenging climbs, narrow bridges, treacherous single tracks, and river crossings. This one is easily among the best trails in the Cardamoms. At the entrance to the Aural National Park in the settlement of Chipat, we will be billeted in a quaint rural guesthouse. At the end of the day, we can swim in the adjacent rapids to cool off.
